Sandra H. Ritter, PhD, LPC

. . . has been a licensed counselor since 1994. She earned her master's and PhD in counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1994 and 2001, respectively and taught at Troy State University (Troy, AL) while finishing her doctorate. Prior to pursuing her degrees in counseling she had a career in business and brings the undestanding of business management to her work as well as strong empathy for her clients.

As a counselor, Dr. Ritter has primarily practiced in North Carolina, leaving there in 2017 to move to Sedona. She now maintains offices in Sedona and Phoenix where she sees face to face clients on alternate weeks. Virtual sessions are also available.

Clients seen in the office have a wide range of issues, from disruptive behaviors in children and teens, to relationship issues, anger management, anxiety, women's issues, life transitions, grief, post-traumatic stress, and more. When working with children, we often takes a systemic approach that involve the family so that behavior changes are supported and sustained.
